BACKGROUND OF BODAC
Master Benjamin Ofori founded his own amateur cultural group know as BODAC Cultural group and Institution in Africa. He participated in performances with the Troupe on many occasions, including; The National Festival of Arts (NAFAC), The KIDDAFEST 95, The International Cultural Exchange Program organized by the National Theater of Ghana and National Ghana TV Youth Programas (Children's Channel). Eager to improve his skills, he joined (Abibigromma)The national performing art company of the institute of African studies at University of Ghana, in Legon as a musician. He studied and traveled with this company around many regions of Africa including Togo, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Libya and Mali.
For the past twenty years, Master Ben Ofori has demonstrated dedication to music delivery through his work with children and the community as an international instructor/researcher, performer, choreographer and Master Percussionist of African music, drumming, dancing and songs. Master Benjamin Ofori is known for his passion, talent and ability to bring great joy of dance and music which is complimented with his exciting drum tones and authentic African musical instruments. Ben’s classes keep alive the tradition of live drumming, dancing and African arts. His music is inspiring to all ages.
