Experience & Education

When Ben was 7 years old, he began to learn how to drum and dance and started to perform with his father. This started back during his school days at the local "Authority School" at Danamako, in the Northern Region of Ghana. He was a member of the school's cultural troupe until he completed his studies.

After he completed his studies, he began to impart his knowledge of traditional music and dance in many ways at first- and second-cycle institutions including secondary schools and colleges. He also taught how to perform naming ceremonies, and various ways of greeting in the local languages. Ben taught traditional dressing and cooking classes as well as others through the engagement by the Greater Accra Center for National Culture. Ben was their resource person.
